Roseville Bittersweet Shapes: Art Pottery Shop Current Inventory

Bittersweet is a late line introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1951. Standard colors are green, grey, and yellow. Bittersweet is marked with the raised Roseville USA script mark, shape number, and size. The shapes resemble Mid-Century Modern, but with more symmetry and subdued colors. Factory stock pages show 42 shapes. The pattern includes baskets, jardinières, vases, wall pocket, planters, bowls, window boxes, and tea set. This pattern is gaining popularity with Roseville pottery collectors and as a result prices are increasing.
