Colorful art deco Cowan Pottery high glaze orange and brown bookends that are called unicorn but are designed after springboks in their characteristic leaping position. Great form with super color and glaze. MINT and UNCRAZED CONDITION. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Marked but somewhat covered in glaze with logo and COWAN near the base. Bookends are 7 1/4" tall and 6 1/4" wide. Designed by Waylande Gregory in 1929. Clean and estate fresh.
