Bottom marked with L HJORTH and DENMARK. Bowl is 1 1/2" tall and 3 1/4" wide. Hjorth was established in Denmark in 1859 by Luritz Adolph Hjorth. Hjorth produced high-quality studio pottery as well as production pieces. Hjorth was considered the premier art pottery maker in Bornholm and produced quality examples throughout the art deco and biomorphism movements.

Attractive Rorstrand Pottery decorative plate. Great form with good color and glaze. MINT CONDITION. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Bottom marked with logo, RORSTRAND and signed NYLUND. Plate is 1 1/4" tall and 9" in diameter. Rorstrand was established in Sweden in 1726. In 1931 Gunnar Nylund along with Carl-Harry Stalhane (who was appointed senior artist in 1939) began developing the simple, organic shapes that have since become so sought-after by collectors. Rorstrand is probably the most widely recognized Scandinavian art pottery.
