Roseville Dogwood (Smooth)

Dogwood (Smooth) also known as Dogwood II is a middle period pattern introduced by Roseville Pottery by 1920. The pattern features flowering dogwood branches in black and ivory against a smooth, dark green background. Roseville Dogwood (smooth) was typically unmarked, but some examples have the shape number and size stamped in blue ink. There were only 13 shapes shown in the factory stock pages but more are known to exist. Shapes include vases, jardinières, pedestals, and an umbrella stand.

Roseville Pottery Dogwood (Smooth) Basket Hard to find Roseville Pottery Dogwood smooth basket.  Uncommon color and detail to the flowers and an unusual lavender underglaze near base.  FACTORY ORIGINAL CONDITION.  No chips, cracks, damage, or repair of any kind. Glaze pinholes on one side of handle and a factory indent near base.  Basket is 7 3/4" tall and 5 3/4" wide.  SOLD! NEW ITEM! $165.00 Sold!

Roseville Pottery Dogwood (Smooth) Vase Tall and very rare Roseville Pottery Dogwood (smooth) floor vase.  Striking form, color and glaze. EXCELLENT CONDITION.  There is a touch-up to a shallow chip on the black branch and a very tight 2" line descending from the rim. Very hard to see under even close inspection and no chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.  Vase is 15 1/4" tall and 7 1/4" wide.   Rare form not shown in the catalog pages.  ESTATE FRESH! Roseville Pottery Dogwood (Smooth) Vase 135-8 Decorative Roseville Pottery Dogwood smooth green vase.  EXCELLENT CONDITION.  Pinpoint fleck to inner rim and small glaze flake on black branch.  Very minor and no other chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.  Bottom marked with blue factory ink mark.  Vase is 8 1/4" tall and 5" wide. $225.00
