Roseville Carnelian

Carnelian was introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1926. Original Carnelian (Carnelian I) drip pieces are bluish green over turquoise or yellowish tan over light tan. Later drip pieces are dark blue over pink or dark blue over light blue. When the line didn’t sell well, the unsold pieces were reglazed with mottled colors including rose, purple, lavender, tan, peach, green, or blue. This later line referred to by Roseville collectors as Carnelian II (Carnelian Glazes). Carnelian I and I (Drip and Glazes) pieces are either unmarked or stamped with a blue Rv mark. Roseville Pottery Carnelian II Red Vase 323-10 Large and impressive Roseville Pottery Carnelian II vase.  EXCELLENT CONDITION.  No chips, cracks, damage, or repair of any kind.  Shallow base grinding fleck that doesn't even fully penetrate the glaze.  Bottom marked 317 in red crayon however the actual shape number is 323. Vase is 10 1/4" tall and 7" wide.   SUPER PIECE.  $325.00

Roseville Pottery Carnelian II Red Vase 338-12 Large, arts and crafts Roseville Pottery Carnelian II red handled vase.  Great color and glaze.  EXCELLENT CONDITION.  There is a tiny non-showing chip to the unglazed base that may be factory done.  No other chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.  Bottom marked 338 in red crayon.  Vase is 12 1/4" tall and 9 1/4" wide.  ESTATE FRESH!  $695.00
