June 28th Live Auction Results are in!
Last week we spent Sunday afternoon with a lively crowd of bidders at our most recent Decorative Arts and Fine Objects auction. Here are a few of the highlights. You can log in and see all of the results here.
The highest-selling piece was, unsurprisingly, this gorgeous example of why so many people love Weller Sicard pottery.

These live auctions really do appeal to a wide variety of collector types. You can see that in the diversity of lots that had the highest numbers of bidders.
The most bids in the entire auction went to this dramatic silhouette of scenery by Hannah "Gluck" Gluckstein.
42 bids - $5,000
Jewelry is becoming one of the most popular features of our live auctions, and we're finding more and more gorgeous estate pieces for your bidding pleasure. The two pieces with the highest bids this auction were the Art Deco 14K yellow gold diamond and emerald ring and the 14K yellow gold Modernist abstract gold nugget pendant and chain.

The lot with the third-highest bid overall is this stunning English pewter-and-enamel case clock by Liberty Co.
30 bids - $3,500
We love bringing you unique figural pieces, and this bronze 1800's mythical dragon man candle holder was quite popular.
24 bids - $475
Daum Nancy art glass always does well, finding bidders among collectors of the maker and lovers of beautifully crafted glass decor.
21 bids - $600
Any comic book with a first appearance of a character is going to be popular among collectors, and with this one featuring the debut of Deadpool, we weren't surprised at the competitive bidding!
