Pauleo is a popular Arts and Crafts pattern introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1914. The designers used numerous glazes with Pauleo, including lustres, matte mottled colors, and semi-gloss blends.

Most Pauleo pieces were without ornamentation, but some examples have hand-painted decorations. Both glazed and decorated examples are very rare today and prized by collectors. Pauleo was either marked with a Pauleo wafer, marked with a Pauleo paper label, or unmarked altogether.
